I'm so frustrated because I'm still in a "stall" stage. I had my lap RNY on 8-29 and I lost 21 pounds in the first two weeks. From then on, it's been 3 weeks (and a day) and my scale is not budging. It's up a pound, down the pound, up 1/2 a pound, down the 1/2 a pound. I know our bodies have to adjust, but geez it's been 3 weeks. I figured the stall would be about 2 weeks from what I have read from others, but I'm going into my 3rd week. I'm getting my protein in, I could up the water. I have my one month follow up appt tomorrow. I hope my doctor wasn't expecting more out of me.

RNY on 08/19/05 with
I stalled for two weeks and I was exercing for 1.5 hours a day, walking 3.5 miles and talk about a little upset. But, then I took measurements and WOW... I was losing inches like crazy and building muscle. So, if you are excercising you will lose. Then this last week I lost like 5.5 pounds in a week....CRAZY...., So your body will adjust and remember at a year we are all going to look SUPER HOT....

I think we are all going through the same thing. I haven't lost hardly anything the last 3 weeks. 1lb here and there. I too have been having a hard time staying positive about the whole thing. But I am just keeping the faith that what everyone says about the weight falling off will happen. Let's all stick together and give each other the encouragement we need right now! Lori 281/249/140

ME TOO!! I was in a stall for almost 3 weeks and couldn't believe how hard it was to stay positive and keep following the plan. I seriously wanted to give up! But then out of no where...the scale started dropping again and I have lost 4 lbs since Sunday! I've been told that there is really no way for us to "screw this up" at all...so keep at it and you should see results before you know it! Wendy 278/244/165

Ladies, I am so thankful for this site. I too, am getting frustrated. I had surgery on 8/23/05 and have lost 24 pounds, then have stopped right on the 200 pound mark (which is a milestone number for me).... Like, why couldn't I have stalled on 199???? LOL Anyway, was sure glad to hear that I am not "stalled" alone - that this too shall pass. I know that I am losing inches as my clothes are starting to look pretty pathetic - I have officially moved out of the Women's sizes and into the Misses sizes. The girls at work were making such fun of my droopy pants that I had to go buy a few pairs.... Good luck to everyone - I know we are all looking forward to that scale moving again. I agree that we just need to continue supporting one another - after all we are all LOSERS!!! Sharon 224/200/135

I just got over a LOOOONG stall (ok, 2 to 3 weeks, but it felt like 2 to 3 YEARS!). Suddenly I started dropping a lb a day again, and today I dropped two! Those stalls are murder, but they too shall pass.

I'm so thankful for this message board! Everyone seems to be right in line with where I am I've stalled at the 43lb mark and the scale isn't moving... but like the rest of you, I've noticed inches melting away. When I get discouraged, I remind myself that my weight loss goal is for 6 months and 1 yr (to reach goal) and I'm well ahead of what I thought before surgery. Hugs Tamela
