Ok guys. I had my surgery 8/23. Things have been going great. I'm down 25 lbs. For the past week I haven't lost anything infact I gained 2 pounds. I'm thinking that maybe this is the part where my body is putting on the brakes and trying to figure out what is going on. I have upped my exercise to try to get things moving again. Crissy

It could be that your body is a little freaked out and the weight loss may have stalled temporarily. If that is the case, great news!!!...the inches will catch up!! (At least they most likely will.) I found that when I thought I stalled, I in fact had water weight gain from the dreaded "friend". I soon lost 5-7 pounds practically overnight. Have patience and don't panic. Take it one day at a time. Eat right, and exercise and the magic WILL happen. Everyone loses at a different rate.

Crissy, I am going through the same thing. My surgery was the day after you. I have lost 28lbs. Nothing for the last week and a half. I lost up to 31lbs but gained it back in a couple of days. I think it's water retention. I think we are all experiencing the same thing at 5 weeks or so. Hopefully we will lose something soon!!! Take care, Lori

the same thing is happening to me. I went from 33 pounds before my period then gained back 3. Now I am back down to 33 pounds again. I just worry a little that it is muscle as well as fat that I am losing since I am not eating enough protein. I lived in Bellingham and went to community college there back in 1990! My dad lives in Friday Harbor, San juan Islands. Great place to be in the summer. I moved to Hawaii 9 years ago to get away from the winter blahs. Hard place to be fat though. Don't like to wear a bathing suit much yet!

Hey Crissy, We are surgery date mates!!! The exact same thing has happened to me also - lost 24 pounds and then have stalled for the last couple of weeks. From everything I have been reading, this is pretty normal, so I am just going to hang in there with the thought that this too shall pass!!! Keep the faith!! Sharon 224/200/135
