Discouraged.
I had my surgery on 8/8/2005...and since that date I have only lost 19 pounds. I feel llike something is wrong...it will have been almost two months soon. I read these forums and see people who have lost 40 pounds in a month, etc.
I have had one fill -- and it did nothing. As of late, I have been SOOO hungry...4oz (how much I am supposed to eat) does not fill me.
Maybe I need to be making better eating choices? But if I am eating so little of one thing, how much does it really matter?
I don't feel any restriction. I can eat whatever I want and it goes down...with the exception of biscuts and cold chicken.
Please help...I do not want to be fat forever.

First I would like to say congrats on your 19 pound lost. According to your BMI it looks as if you are what they call a lightweight and being so you can not compare your weight loss to that of many of the others on the site. You know, the more you weigh the more and faster you lose. That being said, what are you eatting and what if any activities are you currently doing? These two things along with getting in your water can make a world of difference.

I have to agree with the other ladies...First you have less weight to lose, so it is going to come off slower... Second, 19 pounds is great!! But, you do have to look at what you are putting in. I, as I am sure most of the people with August diets are still in soft pureed foods. I couldn't eat a piece of chicken if I wanted to, unless it is pureed. I choke on oatmeal, unless I chew it real good....I am currently 5 1/2 weeks out and have lost 26lbs....but I also exercise for at least an hour every day. I either walk 3.5 miles a day or I go on a elliptical machine and do 7 miles in an hours. Remember this is a tool, you still have to watch what goes in. PLUS don't forget your protein...You NEEd protein and the vitamins and if you don't do them, then you may not lose weight... But don't be discouraged 19 pounds is awesome...
