I'm eating chicken, tuna , ham and egg salad... I have pimento cheese salad ( homemade because of sugar content) for tomorrow. I eat a variety of soups and cheese and have recently discovered the wonder of broiled pepperoni slices with Muenster or Mozzarella melted over it. Today I added applesause and I hope to add some lettuce in the way of a "chef" salad tomorrow. So far, I have had no problems with any food....just a very slight nausea when I drink really cold water ( which I like MUCH better than just cool). The Campbells soups are terrific....I have even tried some of the "chunky" variety....I just use my potato masher to mash the lumps up if they look too big! Hope you're doing well!! Sorry to hear that your surgeons' handbook put lettuce on hold for 6 months. My surgeon's handbok returns it to his patients at one month. However we can't have potatoes until the end of the 3rd month. Funny how surgeons differ on what they let you eat when. Holly

I'll be 4 weeks tomorrow. I'm eating egg beaters with cheese, yogurt, mozarella sticks, hummus, overcooked mixed veggies, cauliflower, Tyson Chicken Brest Strips (very, very convenient), tilapia, salmon, pork, mashed taters. I also bought some veggie burgers. I'm just not up to trying beef. Canned tuna and salmon didn't work well with m me. Jen

Hey JT, I had open rny the same day you had rny. For breakfast I try to east like 2 tblsp of low fat cottage cheese, or cream of wheat. For lunch I made this really awesome dish: You take raw chicken (cut it up in SMALL bites), boil it in a pot, add cauliflower and brocolli to the pot, bring to a boil. Then get a foil pan, put a layer of chick, broc, and the cauliflower, add some onion slices, salt and pepper, sprinkle with low fat cheddar cheese, and put in the oven until cheese melts and is slightly brown. This is so good, its like bariatric lasagna!! I take a small amount to work. This dish is high in protein. I can also eat wheat melba toast crackers (5 little crackers fill me up)with fat free cream cheese, talapia, miso soup, baked potato w/ ff sour cream. My doctor also OK'd me to have THINLY slices turkey breast and roast beef...but that does not go down for me. Also I kinda got sick of water, so I drink sugar free Arizona diet iced tea, or this drink that is low carb/zero sugar, its called FUZE (its really good and comes in a glass bottle)-this drink has a lot of vitamin C, Chromium (for energy), and its main ingredient is filtered water, with only 1% juice (fruit and fruit juices do not stay down with me-too much sugar) I also drink skim milk and carb countdown chocolate milk. I am down 35lbs as of this morning. Hope this helps =) Mikey K 300/265/190

Your recipe sounds yummy! Where do you get carb countdown choc milk? I'd like to get it for my 10 year old. Cool pic at your site! I have to post one & figure out how to do the icons. Thanks Rosemary

I was eating a lot of baked fish and seafood. I also did well with baked chicken strips with a little low carb alfredo sauce to moisten it. You can be really creative in getting your protein. I have never been able to do the protein drinks or bars, they are too rich for me and don't sit well. Good luck! Mary
