Lost since discharge:59 pounds (minus gain in hospital :46) but I like to count it all!! LOL!!
Had my 6 week checkup today. Dr Byars said he was very proud of me and that I am doing wonderful. My diet was advanced. Got some crackers and toast added among other things. I feel so much better. I can tell a difference with every passing week. We all have nothing but better times ahead for us!! Would I do it again? You betcha!!! Congratulations to all! Keep up the good work!!

My surgery was on the 1st and so I will be 8 weeks on Monday. I was feeling very depressed about my loss but reading all your posts has made me so very happy to know I'm right there with you all!
Highest weight was 284 in May, then lost 32lbs. pre-op.
Date of surgery I was 252
Today I weighed 220.5 so that is 31.5lbs!!
Total of 63.5...yea!!
I have dropped two sizes, shoes are too big and have had to adjust all the mirrors in my car cause my tush shrank!

I had surgery on 8/18/05...I feel great and all has gone pretty well except when I forget to slow down and eat too fast and then it is too late. I have been getting an hour of cardio in everyday except Sunday and I am down 40 lbs. People are really starting to notice.

I am not eating much of anything three days ago I started to get sick and after I eat, the food must be remove or it causes me to feel sick. I even feel sick after my protein drinks. I have thrown up three times now once a day except today. I am tired and sleep at least 9 hour per night. I used to sleep 6 or 7 hours per night. I do eat cottage cheese, baby food fruit, soups, I have taken bites of salad and had 5 piece of Filet Mignon. I really have lost my taste for food. Anyone eles like me?

Hi Thelma,
I try and get the protein down which I do not do very well. I eat baby food fruit and that does not make me sick. I am just staying on the bland soft, liquid foods. I only eat 3 times a day and I know it is not enough but for now I feel great except when I eat. I do get headaches and I read somewhere that people lose there appetites at around month 2. I think if we get protein down then are appetites will come back. Keep in touch and let me know how your doing and I will do the same.
