2.5 weeks - haven't tried chicken yet, but when I do my plan is to try dark meat such as leg or thigh instead of breast. Last night I ate most of a 2.5 oz can of Underwood Deviled Ham Spread. It was finely minced and it went down great!

Hi Joe, I've done the Deviled Chicken Spread and it was very tasty. My pouch seemed to be okay with it as well. Terri

I just had a couple of slices of deli sliced turkey with cheese on a cracker. I chewed and chewed and chewed. It twenty minutes for me to eat the four crackers I'd made for dinner. I've been lucky so far, nothings come back on me yet. Good luck finding a way to get chicket work for you. I'm thinking of pulling out my crock pot again. That always makes my hubby nervous. I'm almost 2 months post op and has had chicken several times. If I chew chew chew it goes down easily and stays down. I stay away from dry meat. I've also had ground beef and deli meats with no problems. I'm dying for a real hamburger lol! In due time though. I hope things get better for you. Good Luck! Lap Rny 8/01/05

I'm a little over six weeks and I haven't had a problem with chicken or beef at all. I have had some nausea with lunch meats and I can't seem to stomach eggs no matter how they're cooked. I used to love my omelets in the morning. Now, I can't even do plain scrambled eggs. I have not tried egg beaters yet. I'm just so afraid of anything with eggs right now. I just started on salads today!! I was so looking forward to the raw veggies. My doc said go for it and I certainly am and I'm enjoying every bite!

i have had some real problems with chicken. right after surgery I had it grilled and cut up very small. now if I take one bite, I start to vomit. Yet I have had ground beef, baked and no problem. I can eat 6 oz of flounder. the other nibht I had orange roughy and sweet potato and I got sick. So now every night for dinner I have flounder because I am so afraid to try anything else.
