Tonight I thought I would have small slices of Italian Herb Chicken with some perfectly steamed brussell sprouts. Yummy... After two bites of brussell sprouts, I began to have a strange sensation. It felt like someone took an air pump and attached it to my belly button. Before I knew it, I felt tremendous pressure and felt like I was going to pop! Gas? I said it must be this new marinade on the chicken but not my favorite veggies. I saw my belly was getting bigger - Honestly, I was scared to death. Little did I realize that my old time favorite veggie - Brussell Sprouts - would become my enemy! What was I thinking. I never thought learning your "new" tolerance to food would be so challenging at times. I wanted my brussell sprouts My kids were like "Thank God we dont have to eat them!" GAS... BLOATING... Has anyone experienced this with a former favorite?

with me it has been my favorite beverage! Diet Minute Maid lemonade has been my drink of choice since I had to stop the diet coke 3 weeks before surgery. since surgery I have not been able to drink it, it gives me HUGE pain in my stomach! I keep trying it every week, but it still is against me. I've had to resort to drinking crystal light tea with lemon, almost as good. Mary

I have not had any issues, but I have been taking things really slowly. I would point out though, that Brussel Sprouts (which I love too) are in the cabbage family, so they, like Cauliflower, Broccoli and Cabbage, will give most people gas problems. I am sorry they don't agree with you, perhaps try them again in 9-12 months and maybe your body will take them better.
