Hi I am sick every day. The bad breath and tolerating food and liquids is a constant battle. On wednesday I will be 4 weeks post op. I struggle every day. I am soooooo sickened with nausea and diarrhea. I do not sleep at all. I was readmitted to the hospital last Thurs and stayed overnight. Nothing helps. Now I have the worst hemmoroids. I am beside myself. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate them. I am starting to believe that perhaps i made the wrong decision. Rose

Well, do you remember why you did this in the first place. I know I really did not want to do this at all prior to the date of my surgery but got really excited and knew there was no turning back once I was on the table waiting to go into the operating room. I will pray hard that the hemmroids disappear and that your recovery from nausea is releaved and toleration is renewed. Praying for you in Toledo Ohio Bsnyder

Hi Sorry for replying so late but I was back in the hospital. I am feeling slightly better now. I found out this time that I contracted a bacterial collitis. Most likely in the hospital. So much for a sterile enviornment. The infection is mostly gone and I am finally getting better. Thanks for listening and all the advice. Rose

Rose, I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling ill everyday, that must be incredibly difficult. The bad breath was yucky, but hopefully that will pass soon, mine only lasted a couple weeks. I have read many posts of people who have felt very icky the first month or two, but that eventually passed for them as well. This surgery is a huge decision, and even though you may regret it now, hopefully in the near future the side effects you are experiencing now will diminish. I had diarreah also for the first couple of weeks, and even still occasionally. I will be four weeks post-op on September 9th, so I am right behind you. Once you are able to tolerate some of the soft-foods, the diarreah does let up, I still have it occasionally, but I am getting closer to normal now. I also got a hemmorhoid! At first, cold liquids, etc made me feel sort of icky, not really nauseated, but sort of.. .. crampy. I drank room temp water and warm soups etc. and that seemed to help. Just keep trying to eat and drink small amounts no matter what because dehydration will amplify your symptoms. I truly am sorry you are experiencing these side-effects, but hang in there, once the weight starts coming off and these feelings are gone, you will not regret your decision. You are in my thoughts, Kimberli
