Well, I was sitting in the waiting area and they took me to prep for surgery and I almost walked out the door. Then Theresa said, we are going to do this today. I was in tears and then said ok. And did what I was told, otherwise I would have been out the door for real. But I am home now and glad I went through it all. I know that the end result is worth all that I am going through at the moment. Dont walk away from the best thing that is going to happen to you your whole life, and I am saying this while I am still sick and hurting. My surgery was Aug. 31 and it is now September 4, 2005. So hey. Just do it. ! Bsnyder - Toledo, Oh

Good going Bessie!!! Having doubts just means you are human. I am only a little bit further down the road than you are - my RNY was on 08/24/2005. I have had some small ups and downs, but the general trend is most definitely feeling better every day. And I experienced a real improvement when the doctor took my staples out 8 days post-op. Isn't home a really great place to be after the hospital? You just can't REST in hospitals. - Beth
