So, What are Y'all Eating these days?

Happy one week birthday fellow August 24thers. I am doing very well. Post-Op follow-up with surgeon tomorrow to have staples pulled. My biggest complaint, and its not a major one, is that I can only sleep in one hour stretches for some reason. So, starting about 10pm, I do a 1 hour sleep, 1 hour read/watch tv ritual until about 5 or 6 am. Now, I'm a girl who used to sleep as my best hobby, hours and hours and hours. This is weird for me. I guess we'll find out if its insomnia from leftover anesthesia or just some new sleep cycle in time. Anyway, I'm curious what y'all are eating? My surgeon's discharge rules are basically "eat bland and pay attention to what foods you seem to tolerate and which you should avoid." Ooooookay......So I've just been following advice from long term RNYers about what their docs suggested they eat. I am now eating 3 meals and 2 snacks per day, and drinking water in between. I have no problem getting in lots of water (at least 2 quarts, but usually more). I eat carb smart yogurt, cottage cheese, pureed fruit, sf pudding, sf popsicles, sf jello and broth with pureed veggies. So far, no vomiting at all and only once a slightly tight feeling after taking my meds with water. Oh, I also am taking 3 chewable vista vitamins a day at this point. What are you all up to? I really prefer buying prepared foods to cooking. What do you think of buying some South Beach lo carb meals and trying to eat these? Anyhow, if you feel like it, I'd love to hear what you're eating. Also, what limits were you given for grams of sugar per serving and/or grams of fat? Thanks!!!

Mine was 8/11 and I'm still not allowed "food"; the first two weeks were thin liquids, this week was full liquids and now am about to enter my pureed portion. I usually have fat-free cottage cheese with two tsps of sugar free preserves for breakfast, also use the low carb yogurt. My doc wants me to have at least 75 grams of protein, no more than 30 grams of carbs. My calories are not to go over 800 a day for the first six weeks.

My surgery was Aug. 24, as well. I don't have my follow-up appt and staples removed until next Thursday. I was on clear liquids until Monday (Aug. 28). I am now on full liquids, which will last until next Thursday when I see the doc and he gives me the go ahead to start pureed food. It's very confusing, because each doctor has different beliefs. I read a post from someone the other day who was already trying regular food during her first week post-op.
