Question about nausea...

I had surgery on 8/25 and over the past couple of days I have had frequent nausea. I'm doing the protein shakes like I am supposed to with soy milk and sipping the water. I was wondering if anyone else had any problems with frequent or presistant nausea.

I had my surgery back in 2/04. I had some nausea for a few weeks, however not immediately after surgery. I eventually had to get a perscription from the doctor. But turned out it was just all the hormonal changes going on in my body because of the rapid weight loss. It was almost as if I was pregnant. But after it passed it never came back. Except when I try to drink too much after I eat. Best of luck with your recovery.

Some patients have trouble with extreme cold or heat when drinking. Try drinking water at room temperature. If you begin to not be able to keep anything down, CALL YOUR DR.
