I'm three weeks out today, and to date, I've lost 23 pounds. I do get my 70-80 grams of protein a day in, I drink more than 80 ounces of water, and I generally walk an hour in the morning after I get off from work. Would I like to have lost more, heck yeah, but am I happy I'm down what I am. I keep my calories under 800 per day, and know that all though it may not be as fast as some, it is coming off and that's the important thing.

Hello Elaine, Are you walking? Are you drinking your water? Were you on blood pressure pills before surgery? I left the hospital 12 lbs heavier than when I went in because of the liquids they pumped into me. I had a problem with water retention for the last year. 3 days of my blood pressure pills and lots of walking took care of the 12 lbs of liquid plus 9 more. Best week post-op. If you are doing the 1st two religiously, call your doctor. They will probably be leary of giving you a diaretic so early post-op for fear of dehydration, but you never know unless you ask. Dawn
