Hey everyone. I just wanted let everyone know that my surgery went well. No complications so far. I had surgery on Monday the 22nd and was released from the hospital Wednesday evening. I was so sore and tired the day after, I still am thinking to myself " What the hell did i do to my body?" . I honestly didn't think i was going to be in so much pain. Well the pain wasn't that bad, it is manageable(i'm a huge baby) But now that i'm home i'm feeling so much better, trying to get all my liquids in and my pain killers are helping, a lot. I just find myself tearing for any little thing, don't know whats wrong with me. And I'm finding it hard to look down on my incision all them staples give me the creeps. I am looking foward to feeling better, recovering and advancing to my next stage. I have my first follow up appt. on Thursday. Thanks for listening JT

JT Congratulations on a successful surgery. Sorry to hear about your pain. I had mine laproscopic so the pain was only a few days. However, it's normal to second guess yourself when you are feeling sore & tired. Just keep your chin up. Once the pain subsides, your mind set will change. Good luck with everything & keep us posted Tammy

Hi JT Welcome back! I am glad you are doing well... Right now its more mind over matter than anything... I felt a little emotional too durring my first week... It will get better, I promise... Though, it isn't easy, I am not going to lie to you... Everyone has their ups and downs, you just have to remember that it will get better and it this will all be worth it in the long run... One quick tip: As hard as it is, don't weigh everyday... I made that mistake, and when I plateaued for about 4 days and was totally upset about that.... but it is over with and I lost an additional 6 pounds.... SO... I am now limiting myself to weighing once a week on Mondays... Good Luck! Bridget

Congratulations on a successful surgery. Glad you are home & doing ok. Mine was the same day as yours. Mine went well too. I had it lap and had virtually no pain. I went to work Friday for 3 hours. The drain is still in, which means I have to wear a HUGE tenty dress to hide it. SIGH! I feel fatter than before surgery! Anyway, glad you're home and we're on the LOSING side!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Hugs, Laura
