Road to Recovery

I had my surgery Aug 15th and came home Aug 18th. I am doing great! Ready to have my drain tube pulled tom. and hopefully staples removed. God is so... good, no complications so far.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am one week behind you. I am doing fine too - just gas pains. My drain comes out Monday. Can't wait! Where did you have your surgery? We are originally from Louisville - just live in Minnesota now. My brothers both had basic at Ft. Knox eons ago. Just curious. Glad things are going well for you. My big thought for yesterday was how proud I am of myself for actually doing this - I had said I was too scared to ever have the surgery & now it is behind me. Sooooo Let's hear it for all of us who are this courageous! Have a GREAT weekend.

I also had my surgery on August 15th! I came home on the 17th and after that first week, have been feeling fine. I had mine done on Fort Bragg. If you have not already had the drain pulled, um...well, try and take a deep breath in first and exhale as they pull it out. It is over pretty quickly and then you really start to feel like you're getting back on track!
