One week post op!

Hi everyone, I am home and doing well. My surgery went extremely well and I am thankful for the great care I had in the hospital. I don't think my husband or I really were prepaired for all the stuff we'd have to do when I got home - he's such a trooper - he's pitched right in and got his nursing degree - something he never wanted! I'm feeling stronger and each day have taken back more independence. I'm very excited about life, working hard at all my recovery steps and checking in at my first Dr. Appt.

Adrienne, I had my surgery on the same day. I really glad to hear you are doing so well. I am loving life, walking and eating soft food since yesterday, Boy was that broth getting old. Had my first post op visit yesterday and had lost 23 lbs. Hope you are doing well and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Here's to the LOSING SIDE, I love it. HUGS, Michelle

Hi Adrienne, I also had my surgery on the same date and am also doing great. I had mine lap so recovery has been great. I go for my 1st check up next wednesday, the 31st so we'll see. I'm eating soft foods as well & everything has been going great with that too. Keeping my fingers crossed that this continues. Good luck with your recovery & congrat's on an uneventful surgery. I am one week post op too. I am glad to hear your are feeling good. I am suprised at how good I actually feel. Only thing is I tire easily. Other than that I am pretty much pain free and the eating, water and exercise are all going great! Curious to see how much I have lost my post op appointment is 9/2/05.
