Soft Proteins

Good Morning Everyone! What does everyone eat when on soft proteins? Just looking for some ideas. I am 7 days post-op. Thanks Kim J ~~

the last couple of days I have been having a little bit of eggbeaters scrambled with a dash of milk. I spray the pan with garlic cooking spray and when done throw in a couple of shreds of parmasean (sp?) cheese for flavor. yummy!

Hey, Kim....How are you?.. I just read your profile.... and I guess you and I met at our visit with Ginny (the nutritionist at Dr. Procter).... I had my surgery 9 days ahead of you by Dr. P.. (isn't he great?)...and doing fairly well... back to work and still on soft proteins...I still like eating soups over everything because not all soft things go down easy.... what does seem great though is cottege cheese mixed with SF strabery preeserve( 1tbsp of cottege to1/2 teasp of preserve), and I also am able to nibble on regular cheese without a problem (bought a big chunk at BJ and cut out about 1/2 oz.pieces 1-2/day... love it... Anyway, keep intouch...Are you going to the support group at Dr. P.? take care of yourself, hugs, Rita B.

Thanks guys for the replies !! I am gonna try both the suggestions as they sound better than what I have been eating. Hey Rita! Yes, I was sitting across from you I think. I am glad you are doing so well. I am doing great! Dr P is wonderful! I am just having a hard time while still at home with the "head hunger" issue. I have NEVER gotten sick..not once...knock on wood! Anyway, back to work for me next Monday and things will get crazy again. Oh, by the way, I like the way that you said you eat your cheese!! Too funny but...hey it works and taste good! Take Care. I am going to try and make some support meetings soon!
