Liquid Foods Help
I wish I could tell you something. But theres not a whole lot out there. I have strained off the broth from all kinds of canned soups, etc. Broth is broth. I know how you feel. Will be glad to go to my appt tomorrow and hopefully get some new foods added. Just remember that this is only temporary ( I know, easier said than done,,lol). Hang in there!! We can do this!!

Carb Freedom by Blue Bunny yogart smoothies are high in protien. They are great! I can't get enough. Looks like everyone's doctor has them on something different, I had my surgery on aug 18 and I can start pureed foods when I feel like I am ready and getting all my liquids in, but that is the problem, I am having trouble getting my 60-80 grams of protein and my 64oz of water/liquids!
Hi Tamela, Doesn't it get old fast ! Not sure what your doc/nutritionist prescribed in a way of a diet post op, but perhaps you can enjoy a protein shake/smoothie? I also enjoy the wonderful, usually instant, Japanese soy bean base soups ... very flavorable and doesn't taste like chicken! Each day will be better, and am sending you good wishes for a speedy recovery. Judy
I was on a liquid diet for 2 weeks prior to my surgery on the 9th, and I know what you mean about being sick to chicken broth. One that I found that had great flavor was Knorr's tomato basil. I just ran it through a strainer. You have to limit the amounts because of the sugars (10 gms per cup), but I found that even just a little was a welcome change from chicken!
