3 days post op..surgery 8-18,,am home

just got home...feel pretty good..gas pains are killing me though.. other than that doing pretty good.2 hour drive home was long though..felt every bump..lost 8 pounds while in the hopsital.. only thing i was to eat is broth havent ventured to the carnation yet..dr says that is fine the first week or so..just as long i drink my water..good luck to later aug ppl..you all will do fine

eat gas-x for your gas pain..it is a life saver..and WALK, WALK, WALK

HI- YES- IVE BEEN DOING GAS-X 1-2 TABS, ALMOST at every meal . It frees up the gas in your gastro tract - but the pain causing OTHER gas you need to walk to absorb it- and I PROMISE YOU (cuz I was bad with the gas in the hospital) you will feel 100% better every day- but you have to walks. start smalll- but do it like every 2-3 hours and you will notice it . I came home Wed 8/18 and here I am 8/22 - first time online posting. So get your BUTT out from behind the PC and walk. You are still gonna have gas if you just sit there!!! Hugs, Donna

i have been walking...my nurses were impressed with me how much and how far i did walk while in the hospital..my roommate on the other hand wouldnt walk to the bathroom...my bowels have started to work today and the gas pains are much much better...only thing bad today.. i ahve to go to the dr for a sore ear..i have the worlds most senstive ears and i think the oxgen thing they put around my ear irratiaed it and now is truening to cellulitis..which can get a drop of an hat on that ear..so going to pcp and have him look at it..and problay will ask for a shot of something becasue wont be able to take pills..and antibotic is not something u can crush up..they are nasty..will be puking for sure

Congrats on a successful surgery! The Gas x didn't work for me at all, but the baby drops for gas worked better.
