Aug 26 Surgery Date : )

Hi All! I'm doing pretty well but i have an urge to have my house clean and organized before surgery. My 2 sons are coming over this week to help out. I do not know yet what time i go in for surgery. I had the VC filter inserted and had extreeme pain about 3 hours afterward. The pain was so bad that i went ot the ER!!! I am allergic to the dye used for the procedure so i had to take prednisone and benedryl the noght before. I cautiously tood 4 prunes also....you know why. Well, those 4 prunes must have been a blessing....in the ER they worked and the pain in my side subsided. Since i have difficult veins to find, they put in a IV port when they did the filter so now i am a borg! : ) Oh well, i am not nervous about the surgery, just about coming home to a messy house....maybe i am using that to keep my mind occupied... You all are so helpful. I am so glad we have this forum to share our experiences.
