I lost 22 lbs in 13 days. I'm now stuck, been the same weight for about 5 days now. It's depressing. I hope the scale moves soon, because I feel like total crap.

Hi There! I had my surgery on 8/8 and I have lost about 17 pounds so far (I weighed 2 days ago) No problem with any foods, as of yet... (lets keep our fingers crossed) As for plateaus, don't stress them too much... its your bodies way of adjusting to this permanent weightloss... It is auctually beneficial, I think, gives the body a rest and lets your skin adjust (maybe our way of avoiding saggy skin?). I have read about a number of people who plateau for a week or even two then lose BIG the next two weeks... Keep your chin up! Bridget

Bridget - Thank you for your post. For me, it's been very difficult to see that scale not budge. I think I made it worse with panic, I realized today I haven't gotten in nearly enough water, food, or protein the past few days from stressing that stupid scale. So today I buckled down, and I'm determined to get it right and quit letting those numbers control what I do (or worse yet, DON'T) put in my mouth. All I can do is keep doing what my nutritionist and doctor told me to do. No one's perfect, so I'm going to forgive myself for not putting enough into my body lately, and start working hard to get this right. And I'm going to hope my 'time off' from weight loss helps that saggy skin!

I had mine on the 11th as well. I was 223 pre op and one week post op Drs appt was 208. I think the first of the weight is water and it will slow down for a while after that. So don't fret. Jeri in Cal
