I had my surgery on Monday, the 15th, and all went very well. My pain was never out of control and the doctor let me go home Tuesday afternoon. I am now two days post op and doing great. I have taken no pain medication today, and am walking as much as possible. Trying to get all the fluids in is the biggest issue. I have a new small pouch and I sip water all day and night, but I still have a long way to go to reach my fluid goals. Just wanted to say hello.......Doing Great !!! HUGS Michelle

Woo Hoo, my doc says they don't expect us to make the water goal the first few weeks, and he said my pouch was only 15-20 cc's so it may take me awhile, but I do drink constantly except for when I have my protein drink...then I wait 45 minutes as I'm training myself for when it's food in there

Yeah! I didn't use a lot of pain meds either which was nice. Great job on the walking and as was already mentioned, the liquid and food intake is a goal, not usually a reality for a bit. I'm actually eating more than I thought I could at a sitting at 16 days post-op, bu****er intake is still an issue. When you figure in about 6 hours of time where you are either eating or not drinking because you are about to eat and/or just ate and if you add in any nap times, there just isn't a lot of time left to sip down 2 liters of water! Almost 2 hours of waiting for the doctor today helped a lot with the water intake. Dawn
