pre-op liquid diet??

I wasnt put on this I am not eating everything in site either I guess I am kind of knumb not real hungry just too excited but its okay not to liquid right my dr. didnt have this in my pre op instructions? my surgery is this coming monday 8/22/05

Betty, Not all surgeons require the liquid diet. I am currently on liquid in prep for my surgery-laproscopically. Just follow your doctors instruction. Good luck, Lynne

hI Betty My doc put me on a 2 week liquid diet, but I am the only one of his patients that he has done this to. Everybody has diifferent instructions. Every doc is diifferent and they have you do what has been sucessfull for them. Relax and enjoy not having to chug protien shakes for a little while! I hope everthing turns out well for you! - Holli

My doctor put me on a 3 week protein shake diet. I did "cheat" a little bit, with some tuna fish, and light mayo. But I am glad he did that cause it really got me prepared for this liquid phase of my post-op. Good luck to you!! Alicia
