Just Home from the hospital
I'm two days out now, got home about 15 minutes ago. I'm doing pretty well all in all, just kind of sleepy. Of course, they left the morphine pump on until the very last minute, so I'm sure that played a part in this sleepiness.
I'm not in too much pain, I've been walking, walking, and more walking at the hospital, and plan to head out shortly for a walk this evening. DH went to buy me some green tea and skim milk. I've been on jello since yesterday, and taking water, water and more water.
Anyhow, will check in later..
Hi Marsha!

PS- I miss the bay area! I grew up in Los Gatos and miss it SO MUCH! The mid-west just isn't the same! Enjoy your weather!
Susan,
Are you having the lap roux n y? I had the lap plus they biopsied my liver and jejunum. I guess my liver was huge (too many carbs over the past few years). I was up walking at 0300 the night of surgery. You may find that you have to push the nurses to take you for the wal****pt asking, but they kept putting it off, so I unplugged my iv and headed down the hall myself.
I've had very little "gas pain" this far, probably because I did walk so much. And "things are working again", so I know the gas has been moving along.
I do find that I'm a little "queasier" tonight. I'm sipping water, tried the green tea (no carb green tea) for nausea, but still feel a little nauseated. Other than that, tummy is mildly sore at this point.
