Post op visit today!

I went today for my post-op visit (been 11 days since surgery) and when I went in I was thinking I'd lost a 'few' pounds. I lost 17 pounds!!!!! I am so happy! 89 pounds til I reach my surgeon's goal, I haven't set one myself yet so I'm sticking with his for now. He said my incisions are healing beautifully and cleared me to start working my arms on the Bowflex, not to strain my tummy yet tho. So, I can add that to my treadmill walking in the evenings. I'm so psyched, I had no idea I'd lost that much weight!

That's great news, Mrs. G...WAY TO GO!! It's a fantastic feeling, isn't it? I've lost 19 lbs so far and I was just telling my DH that I feel I haven't lost anything and that I'm always going to be a FATSO...I guess I'm just having a blue day! Read on the board about someone who lost 30lbs already and had surgery on 8/3--can you believe it! It's amazing...of course, I've read and have been told that men lose the weight a lot easier than women...darn it...they don't get their monthly periods, don't go through pregnacies, and yes, lose the weight faster too...geeezzz, don't they have it easy! I agree, men lose weight fast. My DH has dropped several pounds just by cutting out sugar, and now drinks water instead of soda. Congrats on the 19 lbs lost! That's awesome! I was sure (by using my home scale) I had only lost 13 lbs, but apparently I was wrong about my starting weight. So I weighed when I got home today and my scale is only 1 lb off the surgeon's scale. At least now I know so I can keep up with it. I can't wait to be able to see the weight loss a bit more. My scrubs for work are getting loose, but I have a couple things I try on every few days to see if they fit yet and so far no luck. Maybe soon!! Keep up the great work! Hugs
