With one exception everything went very well. When they were moving me onto the berry bed in recovery, my drainage tube got caught. Saying I woke up is an understatement. I came full awake and at the top of my lungs! I remember hearing someone saying, "Do you always cuss like this?" They immediately re-sedated me and I don't remember anything till long after I was in the room. Other than that, I did very well. Technically, I stayed in intensive care. In reality, it was more of a restricted care area. I had a nice quiet private room. They had me out of bed during the next day and I was walking the halls by the next evening. Pain was/is minimal. Best of all, I got lots of good rest. I'm home now and start "Super Soft" food tomorrow. Which is fine. My chicken broth is sitting just fine with me for now. I'll be in touch as things progress. Ken the loser.

Welcome home Ken! Sorry to hear about the drainage tube incident, but so happy to hear that you're doing well! Bet it was nice to have a private room too, not having to worry if your gown is tied tight in the back or not! LOL! Take it easy, and take care! Wendy
