Hey Cat,
My surgery date was the 1st, and I'm doing great. I still get tired about noon, but that's an approvement. I started with being ready for a nap right after taking a shower, then after taking my morning walk, and now I actually make it a couple of two hours post walk. Glad to here you're doing great as well!

Hey Cat,
Glad to hear you are doing well. I had my surgery the same day. I feel really good as well.
I am not feeling tired, in fact I don't seem to be getting much sleep at all. I am usually in bed by 11, this week it has been about 2:30 or 3 before I fall asleep.......................
I am down 18 pounds.
I am so glad I had this surgery.
Take care all
Joyce
Hey Cathy, hun, so good to hear from you and that you're doing great. Are you back to work?
I too am feeling pretty good, just a little pain right above one of the incisions (the one under my left boob, the area is still very swollen and it hurts a bit, but nothing major). I went for my first post-op check up on the 9th and the doc gave me green light to sart on solids (as long as I make sure they're either pureed in a blender/food processor, or as long as I chew, chew, chew until I puree them in my mouth) I can have anything--he just told me to stay away from very fatty or sugary stuff, no bread (unless it is very toasted) for the first 6 months, and absolutely NO CARBONATED drinks. So, I'm doing much better now...the last 2 days of the liquid stage, I was ready to kill someone couldn't take it anymore So far, I haven't had any problems--THANK GOD! I went back to work on Monday 8/8 but only for 5-1/2 hours, then on Tuesday I worked 6 hours, and since Wed, I'm back to my regular 7 hour schedule. It hasn't been bad at all...I get a little tired around 2:30-3 pm.
Did you have your first post-op check up yet? How did it go?
Well, take care and god bless,
Dolly
Dolly,
Wow you seem to be doing great back to work an all so soon. Can't believe you can have anything to eat as long as it is pureed. My doctor does not want us eating anything only what is on his list as he wants to make sure we are healed really good on the inside. It will be after six weeks I think before I can eat other things or at least should I say try them LOL. ()I do not even see the doctor again until my 6 weeks is up. I will be going back to my internalest Doc before my WLS Doc. He does blood work on me every 3 months so I am anxious to see what the results will be since I have not taken any of my meds that I took before my surgery. Then I see my WLS Doctor on Sept. 13th. Anyway glad to hear from you we need to keep on dance: Keep me posted or send e-mail once in a while ok!
Hugs!!
