Post-Op since 08/02/05

Well, I must say everything is rolling along smoothly. I thought I would have all this pain etc... but I had none thank you Jesus... I had a small scare when I got home and that was I was dispelling blood in my stool but that all stopped. Now 2 weeks post-op and everythings just fine. Alot of gas though and some tummy discomfort at times is that normal anyone?

Hi Patty, Yep, the gas and tummy discomfort is very normal. I thought I'd gotten through the gas about a week post-op, but now that I'm eating soft proteins, guess what has come back to haunt me? The stomach discomfort is because it takes about 6 weeks for it to heal and as we learn how much we can eat sometimes we stretch it a bit more than it likes. Dawn
