post -op RNY was the 9th

hello, it may take me a while to learn how to do this posting and stuff. I have never really had the need to communicate with people in this manner, but I want to learn how now. I just came home yesterday from the hospital. I am still having problems with the gas they inflated me with. I think that it is working its way out slowly, but feel much better today than I did the day after surgery. my doctor found a little hernia that required repair, so I have a few more little scars than the average. I think I have 8. I am 30 years old, 5'2" and 241 lbs. I just wanted to try to put a message on here to really introduce myself. I will learn as I go. God bless you all. Cheryl RNY 8/9/05

Hi Cheryl, Glad you introduced yourself. Personally I don't think of it as a need to communicate in this manner, I just enjoy it. I have met many people over the internet(even met my husband that way). You will enjoy this group and feel a sense of friendship. Welcome to the group As for the gas, it took me about a week to overcome that from the surgery. The worst part was my left shoulder, it hurt so bad. But all is good now take care Joyce

Welcome Cheryl! I've never did this either before now. I am fininding it very addicting and comforting. The support of everyone is great as well as the wealth of information. Glad you are doing okay and you might want to try Gas-X for the gas pains from what I hear. Lynne 4 Days and counting!!!

I am slow at learning this website, I really don't think I like the live chat very much, it just goes too fast and the topics of conversation vary too much. I do like the message board though.
