Blessing both Post & Pre-op!!!

Hi everyone!!! Everyday I try and get to the message board and keep up, but it is harder than what I thought it would be. So I decided to write a message that would let everyone know how I felt. We are all just about the same, most having the same surgery, maybe a little different of a procedure, but with the same purpose and so we all have a bond and can relate to each other. I am very thankful to all of you Post-ops for being there to help us understand what us Pre-ops are about to face. Just being able to know what to take to the hospital, or how you felt when you returned home, how hard was it for you to finally take a bath , and many other things that might seem small may be the answer that someone needs to hear. I am glad to hear other's worry about how they are going to wipe themselves after they go to the bathroom, because that has crossed my mind too. Just know you do play a very important role right now at the same time you may be needing support. To all of you Pre-ops...it is great to walk through this with you. Talking about what to come is like preparing for summer camp. I too have ran out to Wal-Mart almost everyday buying things like food, a comfie outfit to wear home from the hospital, kitchen utensils, new little bowls, travel size items to use while in the hospital, etc. It is exciting to go through this together, and I love hearing your stories, suggestions, or the questions you have because they give me ideas. Everyday I think one of us is having surgery, and I know I don't post to everyone when they announce, but please believe me when I say I do care about you and your outcome and you are in my prayers. So true Amanda, Before my surgery I soaked up everything everyone said. Everyone is different and goes through different things, and yet alot of us go through the same things. We can all relate anyway. I only found this message board after my surgery, I am on a couple of others as well, and feel that being post-op it is so important to return to the board and keep people up to date on your progress. Lots of people come on here pre-op and post everyday and ask questions and tell stories, but once they have the surgery we don't hear from them at all. It is so important to keep sharing.
