Glad I did it!

I had surgery on 8/5. I was so scared, but the staff at Heartland SSH were great. I had a patch put on before surgery and nexium for nausea- they thought of everything. I had some pain, but have had a lot worse. I have been hungry, but have stuck to the liquids, and am doing great. I have lost 13 pounds already.

Fantastic! I'm also glad I did it. For how major the surgery is I used almost no pain medicine and every day gets easier to get in food and water as prescribed. I've lost about the same amount, not including the 12 lbs of fluid they pumped into me. Dawn

Yep I totally agree, I also am so glad I did this. I have lost 14 pounds(and yes + the amount I gained while in hospital) I am getting the protien shakes and water in and yes it is getting easier and easier everyday. Take care Joyce
