Hi there, I had my surgery Aug 1/05. I had RNY LAP, am doing very well(if I do say so myself LOL) I am down 13 pounds. Had some cramping today, but otherwise feel fine. Just realized today that this message board was here, I hope to post more and chat with many of you. Take care Joyce

I had mine the same day. I'm glad to say that my two biggest post-op issues have been gas and low blood pressure as my body gets used to regulating it on its own. As of day 7 I'm off my blood pressure medicine which was one of the reasons I decided to have the surgery. YEAH. Here's to becoming a bigger loser every week!

Joyce, Glad to hear you are doing well. Please do chat and let us know how you are doing. It is very comforting to hear that people who have already gone through it are doing well. I will have my LAP RNY on 8/17. The people here are so warm and friendly. Best Wishes, Lynne

Aug. 1 here too! I've gone back to work, apprx 6 hours a day. I'm still a little sore but not bad, I don't need any pain meds except when I first get home from work, I take a little liquid Tylenol and rest. I'm able to cook meals for my family without any problems now (I was worried I'd freak out wanting to eat it all!) and I can bend over MUCH further than I could just a couple days ago. I just started walking on the treadmill a couple days ago to get in some excersise. It's so good to have you here on the August board! Congrats on your loss so far!! Hugs C
