WLS - I'm a HUGE loser I had my surgery 10/27/05 and am trying to update my WLS profile but it is not easy. My surgeon was Dr. Rollin Thrift and he was amazing. I have lost 114 pounds in all and 99 since surgery. Usually, I just give the grand total but I know many just give the pounds lost since surgery. I claim them all. I do look like another person and I still have probably about 60 to go which would be including any skin removals. Newest Surgery Winners: You have just had your surgery and please, please, please stay on each phase of the diet for its full measure. Your weight is at a meltdown phase but with each new phase of the diet it will slow down that meltdown process. Measurements - please, please, please measure yourself everywhere you can think of and do so at each three month interval. You will appreciate it later. Protein - I had a big problem with liquid protein shakes. They made my stomach hurt. I have found ISOPURE ZERO CARB, the Grape Frost and Blue Raspberry are wonderful. My stomach never hurts with this protein and they are 20 fl oz packed with 40 grams of protein. Life is a rollercoaster, get on board and enjoy the ride.

HI Pamela, I am so HAPPY THAT YOU ARE A HUGE LOSER!!! Thanks for the advice- love advice from those who have been there! I am trying to get in all the protein I can. Was your surgery on 10/2004? So your not even a year out and you have lost that much weight? That is AMAZING! What is your diet like now? Just curious if you want to share what your intake is for protein and what else you can eat, I would love to know. I hope to be successful like you with being a BIG LOSER! Smiles, JENNA

The protein drinks are found at GNC and they're about $4. Just as a warning, I drank one the morning of pre-op flushing and I so regretted it. It made me sick to my stomach, and then of course I had to drink a whole bottle of the laxative. What a day. Now of course, post op, you'd never drink the whole 20oz so you may be fine. Just don't buy more than one just in case. The problem I'm having with the shakes is that they leave my mouth feeling like it's full of sticky cotton. I'm just 8 days post-op, but I sure look forward to also joining the losers club. Dawn
