Hey ... I am a little nervous. I am writing my husband, my girls, my sister and my mom & dad letters just in case anything happens to me. My husband wasnt behind me with the whole surgery. He said well its easy to lose weight and you are taking the easy way out. which surprised me because after my first daughter, he has seen me struggle with it since then. But after talking he is behind me , but he would rather me not have surgery. (any surgery) Or my family is like do you know what you have to do? You have to eat only certain things and exercise. I was like I know I have been to the semiars and support groups. I am soooo ready for this. I know I can do this !!!! I cant wait to have energy and play with my girls and play basketball with my hubby. He is in Italy and I will see him @the end of oct.. soooo excited. Melissa - date is AUG 29th

I'm ready...9 more days for me. It's getting real now that I've started the pre-op diet. I have not told anyone at work what I'm having done. My friends and family are not asking the "are you sure you want to do this" question (thank goodness). The problem is that they don't seem to understand my not wanting to go "watch them eat". I'm only allowed lf cream soup, yogurt, sf popcicles, nsa applesauce, sf pudding, nf milk, sf cib or cream of wheat. They're eating cheeseburgers, potato salad, corn on the cob and blueberry cobbler with ice cream! Good luck to you! Karen
