Surgery Tomorrow

Well, I'm a middle aged woman embarking on what I believe to be an exciting journey. I've been reading messages from this site for a few weeks now and finally got the courage to sign up. I've never participated in any chat room before but I feel a definate connection with the wonderful people at this site. I've received strength from the messages posted and feel comfortable enough to write. My surgery is tomorrow...(just waiting for the hospital to call for a time) and it feels somewhat surreal. I know I'll be reaching out for advice, compassion and just and understanding of the whole procedure from fellow "bandsters". I'm fortunate to have a very loving and supportive husband and two wonderful daughters who have given me the courage to go forward and do this. God Bless!

Jody, Good luck tomorrow. I too finally got up the courage to start writing and it is very comforting to talk with lots of people going through a similar experience. We can all gain lots of support and pick the brains of those who went before us to help us get through this. I for one can not wait and am more then ready to join the "Losers Club". GOOD LUCK and god bless. YOU WILL BE FINE... FIRST FEW Days are the worse- then clear sailing... I am 12 days POST OP... Breath out when you have to bend it helps beninding to be a less uncomfortable/...In my prayers... and post when you can....
