Surgery tomorrow 8/4/05

I'm nervous but at the same time excited to have my surgery. I hope to lead a happy life after wls. I have a planned vacation for 8/21/05 which I'm hoping to feel somewhat good to go. Did anyone travel after 2 wks post-op? Any words of encouragement will greatly be appreciated. Peace Glenda

Congrats on your surgery tomorrow...keep focused on the excited part and the fact that you will be so much happier and healthier after the surgery...I am also having my surgery this month so I can't tell you much about how you will feel for that vacation. Best wishes to you on your surgery tomorrow! My surgery is scheduled for 8/29, so I know what you're going through. I went through that pre-op nervous phase about a month ago, and anticipate I will go through it again right before my surgery. But I just think of how much better I'm going to feel, the years I'm adding onto my life, not to mention the clothes I can't wait to get into!!! May God watch over you, and guide your surgeon's hand.
