August 22 Rebirth Date :)

Hello All...Finally got all that paperwork in and got approval and now have a surgery date of 8/22...good gosh thats just 3 short weeks from now...is anyone else nervous...I'm hoping that with all the Dr. appts and other things I need to do to get ready I won't have too much time to think about it..

Congrats to you. My surgery will be on the 23rd! I am nervous, excited, anxious, fearful, happy you name it I am feeling it. It is alot of emotions to go through. I know I am making the right decision but there are so many what if's. I keep my faith in God and pray that all goes well. I pray the same for you.

Hello Kimberly my surgery date is Aug 18th I am getting a little nervous I didn't think I would. I am so excited too. I think it is getting more real for me because I went and got my supplies yesterday. Keep in touch Bridget in Michigan.

Thanks Ladies...isn't it great to have somewhere we can all be nervous together ...I went for my pre-op testing yesterday and my PCP said he heard a heart murmur but he also said it shouldn't effect my surgery..I am going for an echocardiagram on Friday and we shall see what happens from there...the doc said all that may happen is that I may have to be on antibiotics for a few days before surgery so no infection gets in my system...that I can deal with as long as that all there is...keep your fingers, toes and everything else crossed so this surgery happens...I'll keep you posted...KIM
