I am scheduled for surgery with Dr Kellogg in 15 days? Any tips? What should I have on hand when I come home?

Congratulations! I'll be having surgery on the 19th. It's an exciting time for all of us that are waiting right now. Some of the things you need are broth - chicken or beef - or bullion cubes to make broth. Some cups of jello sugar free jello, protein powder, and also, Slim Fast makes a drink that has VERY little suger and 20 grams of protein but I can't remember if it is the Optima or the Low Carb. Let's see, what else did get...some sugar free applesauce, sugar free popsicles, and chewable mutlivitamins. Also, you should have skim milk and sugar free or "natural" juice - unsweetened apple, grape or cranberry. That's about all I can think of right now. For the most part you will be drinking liquids the first two weeks and will need to try to get a lot of protein, so if you can find the Slim Fast drinks I'm talking about and then add a scoop of protein powder to it it will help tackle the everyday minimum of 60 grams. Hope some of these suggestions have helped. Jessica
