To All August Pre-ops
Thanks Greg for your words of encouragement..It still amazes me how supportive everyone on this website is....it's nice to have people who have been there and know the in's and out's to chat with...I have been lucky and have a wonderful support group in my family plus I have got a great doc and support group there...I know this is the best thing I could do for myself and my family but just wish you could turn off the brain sometimes and stop thinking about it..lol...I have a date of 8/22 and look forward to being on the lossing side of life... Hi, Greg!
This was so nice of you! And I totally agree with the visualization of how we will be when we have the surgery compared with where we'd be if we didn't! So often on the board, you read people "bellyaching" that they have "only" lost fifty pounds three months after surgery, and it drives me nuts! Boo hoo!!! Where would those people be at that point in time without the surgery? Probably at their original weight or higher!! I have resolved that I will not complain if I have lost an average of ten or more pounds a month in the first six months. That is sixty pounds!
I also thought my eyes were deceiving me when I saw that you have gone from 342 to 225 since March, but sure enough, I checked your profile and it is not a typo! Congratulations!!! You are doing phenominally! Less than 50 lbs. to goal - Woo Hoo!
