my date was cancelled

Evidently, Dr Mitchell has a seminar of some sort that he must attend on the 19th of August so my date has been cancelled!! I am so frustrated...I worked so hard to get all the testing done and get my life in order for this surgery before the kids started school and we were to move. Now we are looking at mid September...which I cannot realistically do with the kids just starting school and us moving into a new house. So, I am working with family and am thinking of rescheduling for near the Thanksgiving vacation. My mom is available to come visit/help during that time as well, so it will make things a bit easier. Anyway, I will still be around on the main message board. Good luck to all of you this month!!! I am looking forward to checking back and seeing wonderful results. Take care, Donna

Hi Donna ~ I know you have to be disappointed and frustrated. Really though, I think that it is for the best. I can't see you having major surgery and then moving a month later! I am a big believer in "all things work together for good". This will give you even more time to mentally and emotionall prepare for this change, your house will be in order, and the kids will be in more of a routine. Plus, having your mom around to help out - that alone is worth the wait! It's going to be okay! Ellen Surgery date 8.16.05 219/219/150 or so

The pre-op diet is really going along just fine. I jazz up the protein shakes with some sugar free flavored syrups (I think they are made for making ****tails). My favorite is white chocolate + raspberry. The Myocel protein powder is a mild vanilla so that combo is yummy! It has been rather painless for these first 7 days so, I am interested to see what the scale says when I go for my blood work and weigh in this afternoon. DONNA, MY SURGERY WAS CANCELLED ALSO! I HAD DONE ALL MY PREP AND EVERYTHING AND ON MY WAY OVER TO THE HOSPITAL AND GOT A CALL THAT IT HAD BEEN CANCELLED! HE HAD AN EMERGENCY SURGERY YESTERDAY(7/31) AND HE WAS UP ALL NIGHT SO I AM KINDA GLAD THAT HE DIDN'T DO MINE, BUT I WAS TOTALLY READY TO HAVE IT DONE. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THEY CAN FIT ME IN. Oh, Teresa and Donna, how awful for you! I can't imagine how disappointed you must be! Realizing that it couldn't be helped doesn't really do anything to assuage your frustration, I'm sure. You will both be in my prayers.

Oh Teresa...I think that has to be more disappointing than mine being canceled 3 weeks ahead of time!! I am so sorry!! Any idea when they will be getting you in? I am rescheduled for Sept 19th now...I hope nothing goes wrong with that date!! LOL Smile, Donna
