2 days to go...
Yesterday was my last day at work for a while, and my father-in-law arrived here to be with us and the kids. He's keeping the kids for us so hubby can be at the hospital with me. We went out for Italian last night for my last big meal. I ate SO much! Salad, cheese bread, chicken parmigiana and a slice of pizza. Needless to say, I was ready to burst I was so full. This weekend we're doing yard work (I won't feel up to tending to my flower beds for a few days after surgery), going to Wal Mart for some last minute shopping, up to the commissary in VA Beach for groceries, going to clean my SUV up, and get my house work finished up. I have almost everything packed that I'll need for the hospital. I find myself getting nervous off and on, but mostly I'm ready to get this over and start losing!
Good luck to all of you on your upcoming sugeries!!!
2 days to go!
Mrs. G,
I wish I had your energy! My surgery is Monday as well. I had to stop taking all my medication except for my acid reflux pill. My back, hips, and knees are killing me! I haven't done a single thing today. I'm trying to get the energy to go upstairs for my shower. The problem is the stairs...I want to cry everytime I climb them. I know exactly how you feel...I'M READY TO GET THIS OVER WITH AND START LOSING!!!!
I have to be at the hospital at 0930. How about you?
Cheers!
Becca
I have to be at the hospital at 9:30 too! Surgery is at 11:30. I don't take any meds now, so I think that's why the energy. I had no pre-existing co-morbities, but my family history shows that it was bound to happen any day. My knees have begun 'crunching' when I walk up steps or try to walk too fast even. The beginnings of sleep apnea are rearing their ugly head. I am so sorry to hear you have to be in pain this weekend. Just think, in a few months you'll very likely be pain free! WOOHOO!

You are in my prayers on Monday : ) Best of luck. I am sure everything will be fine and you'll be so happy to be 'on the other side- the losing side'! I also went to GNC today, commissary, and Walmart to get some stuff to get us through for a couple weeks. My surgery is on Tuesday! I am so excited to lose this weight and feel better (not to mention LOOK better : ) You are lucky to be able to eat 'regular food' so close to your surgery. I was informed FRIDAY that I had to start a low to no carb diet. I miss carbs a little but I am getting used to it. Basically this is what we'll be doing after WLS (but in MUCH smaller portions). Take care. Go in with a positive attitude Smiles, JENNA
