Hi, All! Tomorrow morning at 0900 I go in for my pre-op tests. How many of you have done this already? What did they do to you? If memory serves, I have to have some lab work, and EKG, and I believe Xrays? Is that correct? If so, are they of my lungs? Better not be of my head! They'll find it comepletely empty! Maybe a couple of marbles rolling around... Or am I way off base in my thinking? Are there other tests? HELP! My brain has shut down! Becca

Hey, I had my preop test last week. It was a chest xray, EKG, urine test and blood test. 14 vials of blood. Thank god the woman was great and got all that with one stick. I was in and out in an hour. The longest was waiting in the xray department. Good Luck, Jolene

I had my pre-op tests a week ago. I had an ekg, chest x-ray, urine test, breathing test to check for lung function, blood work, and a physical exam and consultation. The whole thing took almost 4 hours!! Patty

Thanks, Everyone! I appreciate your input. Boy, I hope my tests don't last 4 hours. Better grab a book just in case. :kisses: Becca

I had my pre-op testing done on 7/25 and my surgery is on 8/16. I had a pre-op consult, EKG, and blood work. I also had to meet the anestesiologist(spelling). I have to do chest X-rays, gallbladder ultrasound, and urine/pregnancy test on the day of my surgery. I was in the hospital elevators going up and down all day long and I didn't even do all of the necessary testing. I knew it was going to be a long day so I brought a book too, but I never even opened it b/****pt going from place to place and I had to fill out tons of paper work. Hope this helps and good luck.

Hi! Nenita, My name is Sandra and I have surgery also on August l6th. I am so excited to have this done to help me to get my life back again. I still am a little fearful at times, but I guess everybody does that on the "big day". I'll be thinking and praying for you as we have this surgery. God bless you!
