The Meal?
Oh gosh... My surgery date is Aug 12th. Right now I'm eating like EVERY meal is my last meal lol.
I would day, the "very last" meal is going to have to be a french dip, some hot n sour chinese soup (hopefully I can have that later on down the line) and A SODA! Oh, I'm going to miss my diet sodas! lol
I went through a period of time where I was eating like there's no tomorrow, finally am back to eating more 'normal'. Since we went to the Outback Steakhouse for our anniversary last month, I've chosen some authentic Italian for my last big meal. My surgeon doesn't require pre-op diet or any of that, so we're going out next Friday night, then I'll just eat light over the weekend.
8 days and counting!
My surgery is schedule for August 9 and I just found out Thursday. I went to Golden Corral and to TGI Fridays over the weekend and pigged out each time as if it was my last meal. I want to start trying the liquid diet before my surgery. However, my parents are coming in from out of town 48 hours before the surgery and they want to go to Beni Hannas so I guess my last meal will be Japanese food. I am so exited and wish you all the best of luck, a full recovery, no complications, and much deserved weight loss!
For the past week I've been enjoying every meal like it's my last But my official "Last Supper" will be this Thursday at the Cheesecake Factory with my family and OH friends. After this weekend I'm going on a liquid diet to lose a little before surgery. I've eaten enough this past week to fill me up for a few months...

Ken my surgrey is on August 17th the day after my 45th birthday. But I have to eat clear liquids that day so the weekend before we will all get together for a nice spread of chinese and then a carnival birthday ice cream cake to top of both celebrations! The most excting for me is I have been over 300 pounds sice I was 14 years old. My son is serving in Iraq we haven't told him purposely that I'm having surgrey so when he comes home and I've lost 100 lbs he won't know his Mom! what a surprize for him. He left behind his future wife, a 3 month old son he has only seen for ten days and our family. I want you to know I will be praying for you and all the others having surgrey the same day. God be with you Bless you and keep you in His loving care. Lynda Leonard in His Faith
Hi everyone!!!, I am new to the board. My surgery date is August 11!! Yey!!! My "last supper" was at Copeland's. It is a cajun style resturant in Louisiana. I had the wood grilled chicken, with madhed seet potatoes, and fried onion strings. For appeitizer thye have thei spinack and atichoke dip, with firend bow ties. Delicious. Now it is the protein shakes, I pretend they are something else, lol. Good luck to all.

Hi, my surgery date is also 8/8/05 and my "last supper" as I called it was at Red Lobster on Saturday, my husband, my brother, his wife, and 4 of my very good friends joined me. I even splurged and had a strawberry daiquiri. My meal was salad, those yummy cheese rolls, flounder stuffed with crab meat, outback sampler, and sirloin steak and a baked potato with extra butter. It was totally delicious. I enjoyed the food and the company and will look forward to going back there to celebrate once I am at my goal weight and hopefully, only have room in my pouch for just the outbanks sampler (my favorite).
Hi Ken: Congrats on your surgery. I, too, am scheduled for 8/8/05. I am worried after reading all these responses about last meals upcoming. My doctor has me on high protein, low carb strict diet for 2-3 weeks prior to surgery to "shrink my liver". Has your doctor recommended this as well. I had a wonderful meal at Joe's Crab Shack with shrimp of every kind a few weeks ago. Since then, I am trying so hard to be good. Good luck with your procedure!!!
