I HAVE A SURGERY DATE!
June, 21, 2005
I started my journey the middle of January, 2005. After it seems like a life time I have my surgery date: Aug. 22, 2005 at 9:30 a.m.
Wow, I am just now getting excited. I have gone to all my appointments except physical therapy and the physchologist, these appointments are tomorrow and Thursday. I just heard that I passed my stress test with flying colors - what a great relief, I was scared to death. It was so hard to really get excited until the all clear was given and a date set. Now what a rush and happiness to think of having less pain in by back, neck and knees. To be able to go to Victoria's Secret and by underpants and a bra to match and look and feel great. It is something I never thought would happen. Being patient is the hardest thing about the whole process.
Dear Robin,
I am so proud of you that you have stuck to your goal of getting wls done.
I want to appolize for all the hurt and hoops you have been through to get your journey started. I also was sent to a MRI facility only to be told: You are too big for our equipment to handle. A person just wants to find a hole and crawl in and hide.
Yes, we are just 3 days apart on surgery dates. I am fortunate to have a very caring and thoughtful doctor and office staff. Looks like God has led you finally to the right doctor and as you said; we have found peace at last knowing hope is in the near future. My doctor is only 37 and is already a cancer survivor. He said noone has a guarantee of what is to happen to us - so live each day to the fullest and we do need to take risks with God's help. Amen
Let's keep in touch.
Donna
Dear Jane,
Thank you for responding to my surgery date message. You are moving right along. I would encourage you to update your story and your journey on "Your Profile Page". I so enjoy reading more about other members and the success of the wls. I am starting my journey at 294 and just this week have the confidence this is going to happen and I will be successful once and for all.
Wishing you the best of everything you deserve it.

Dear Lori,
Your surgery is just a little ahead of mine. I hope you can get your profile up to date on the system. We all look forward to reading everyone's story and their road to the wls. I will be having Roux-en-y lap. surgery and now that a date has been set and all my pretesting is done I am really getting excited.
I am very happy for you and really would like to keep in touch.

Hi Donna,
I too am sooo excited I cant hardly stand it!!!Sorry you didnt think my profile is up to date..it is I just dont have a lot in it yet..I decided I would save the space for my journey after surgery...my road so far has been filled with potholes... I think I cryed for 2 solid weeks after my first denial..my surgeon had a type O in his report that made them deny me...my second denial my surgeon at the time just changed his type O but didnt send in the rest of material they wanted..(they had it too)..the 3rd time I made sure everything was there and I was still denied so I took them to court..needless to say it was very interesting and I won..I had a DR. for title 19 tell me in front of the judge that he didnt know why fat pple couldnt get on a diet and excercise regime and stick too it!!! The judge slammed him hard>> I enjoy'd it immensly, then the same man took almost 2 months to ok my DR. change! But I got it and I am set to go..August 15th is the soonest they could get me in,was lil disapointd that it is more waiting but at least I know it's coming
OK sorry didnt mean to write a book,I will stop now, lol!! I am looking forward to getting to know all of you guys better myself!! Take care, e-mail me if ya want I love mail!!
