Hello My August Friends
Checking in to see how everyone did over the weekend on their exercise.
Me, well....I had a pretty busy weekend. Exercise was mostly tied up in running around. Friday was my baby girls 13th birthday ..... Had a great day, though. Spent the day at the mall & that evening went to the movies. Saturday was her birthday party. Very fun. Of course I couldn't start out the day without squeezing in a little overtime. Sunday was shopping for the new house & groceries....then the game Sunday night. Oh, got word on Thursday that everything went through for the house .... then we got word that our rate lock expires on Feb 9th....uuuuggghhhhh.... Everyone is hustling to try to get the property closed by Friday, but I don't see that happening. Looks like we'll have to get re-rated & re-approved.... What a process home buying is. Anyway....the lenders tried to get ahold of my attorney today & he wasn't in. Could it be that we got DUMPED on with snow yesterday through today. Not sure of the exact numbers, but I'm guessing at least 3 feet.... It's a Winter Wonderland that's for sure.
Anyway.....Exercise.....
Monday....no exercise...school was cancelled so I slept in too late
Weight....178 --going down again...(fingers crossed)
Tuesday...1 1/2 hrs of shoveling.......... that's gotta burn alot more calories than the treadmill.
Have a great evening everyone.

Hi Tammy,
Sounds like you're as busy as usual. Let's see ... what did I do over the weekend...
Friday - walked an hour
Sat./Sun - not much but a 2 hour grocery shopping trip and looking at a new home (I'm just starting the home buying process - UGH!!)
Mon - walked with my students for 30 mins - Down to 137lbs - just 2 over goal - back w/i my weight window. Yeah!!
Tue - no time...
Water & vitamins good on all days.
I plan on blowing up my exercise ball tomorrow when I get home and start exercising with it.
Dawn
Dawn,
Guess I'd rather be busy than sitting around bored right?
Sounds like you're doing great. Good job of getting back within your weight window Hey 18 months out & still holding strong....wooot wooot
I absolutely love using the exercise ball. Think once we're settled in the new house, I'll get me one. Lord knows, I DO NOT need anything else to move
Good luck on the home shopping. It's quite a process, but I know it'll all be worth it in the end. Heck if we can go through the pre-op process & survive, we can get through anything. The funny thing with most of the lending institutions is that they tell you that you're completely approved & to go & find a house, then once you do ALL this other stuff comes about. I think I'm going to call them today & tell them to do all the re-rating stuff because this whole Feb 9th thing is driving me crazy .....
Not sure if I'll get exercise in today.... Maybe over my lunch break. Although, we're under the gun for another 6-12 inches of snow today, so maybe I'll be outside with hubby shoveling tonight..
Have a great Day... & thanks for posting... I know if we keep it up, others will join in again.

Hey Tammy,
Arrived home from Hawaii and can't believe I lost 5 pounds on a cruise. It was fantastic and so much fun. Ate a lot of protein, so I think that is what help to boost the weight loss, plus exercise, walking on tours and I even learned the hula and was in a graduation show on Thursday evening of the cruise. It was a blast.
Well, this week has been a bust as I have been trying to catch up on sleep from the jet lag. I plan to hit the gym full force next week and I need to get back to eating the protein. It really helped on the cruise.
