Hi All, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Wasn't this year a lot more fun, as far as eating, than just 3 months post-op last year? Last year for me it was turkey and deviled eggs only. This year... whatever I wanted, in moderation of course, though the small juice glass of egg nog was NOT a good choice. Made me nauseous for the next 45 mins. Dawn At goal and maintaining

Hi Dawn Thanksgiving was wonderful this year. My sister, Rose, traveled from Maryland. So I got to relive last years Thanksgiving through her. Always reminded of how far I've come. Yes it was so nice to not have to worry about whether I was going to eat something & get sick (which, by the way happened to my sister..poor thing)... The nice thing was that we had a ton of sugar free desserts as well so I was included with every part of the meal. It's just so important to plan don't you think? Anyway, thanks for the good wishes Tammy teetering again between 179.5 & 180 ps...Other than the even on thanksgiving my sister is doing awesome. I'm going to post a pic of her & I on the website when I get a few minutes

Happy Belated Thanksgiving everyone. Dawn that is too funny I did the same small glass of egg nog thing. I put it in one of those little flintstone jelly glasses I had when I was a kid. I bought those on ebay because they are a perfect size for me. Too funny I did not feel so hot for about 45 minutes. The worst thing is then a day later I tried a 1/2 of the glass and it still made me feel bad. One good thing is that I am losing again I have lost 5 pounds this month since gallbladder surgery. I still have 15 pounds to go to get to 135. The doctor said that 145 is a good weight for me since I am not 25 anymore. However when I was 25 I only weighed 125 lbs. So I think I am going to shoot for 135 and if I am to skinny at that weight then I will gain some back. I am able to wear a size 6 tight at 150. The skin that is around me is the biggest problem. I wonder if you lose weight when they cut that off. I heard not that much. I stopped working out and have started back slowly so that might do something and I have to have a bladder surgery day after christmas so maybe I will drop a little more and then it wont seem like so much to lose. This last bit is really hard to get off. Diana 263/150/135

Hi Diana, I'm trying to figure out what exactly in the eggnog didn't settle at all right. I, unfortunately, eat candy and occasional deep fried food so I sugar or fat doesn't usually bother me. Maybe the combo? Oh well, that's what I got for having it after taking a walk before pie. Congrats on the losing again. I so understand those last 15 lbs. It took me over 2 months after what had been very steady weightloss and I came really close to saying - forget it - I'll take the 139ish. Then I gained 4 lbs in a week, got serious and lost 7 lbs in one week and hit goal! Now I just bounce between 132-138 and I'm quite content with that. You and I have about the same stats - I started at 258, goal 135. I basically wear a size 4/6, depending on cut and such. I can vaguely remember 128 in my teen years and every time I drop to 132 I think of losing those extra 4 lbs just to say I'm there again. I'm 5'7, you? I wonder since I know I wasn't in a size 6 at 150 - closer to 10s and moving into tight 8s maybe. As far as losing the weight with the skin - depends on how much and how much lipo is done at the same time. I bet a surgeon would give you a good estimate - but who has $250 for the consult for just that? . Have a super week! Dawn Maintaining at goal...6 months and counting
