Tomorrow I am having my Gallbladder removed
Hi Everyone, I have not been in here for a while. So I didn't know that the profiles had changed. Wow what a difference. Maybe I will try and update it when I get up and aboout this week since I will be off until next Monday.
I am going in and having my gallbladder removed tomorrow morning. I am not even nervous. I guess I know I am in good hands and it is outpatient surgery so it shouldn't be too bad.
I don't know the recovery time on this I have heard next day to a few weeks. I guess everyones different. I also have heard you can gain weight after it is removed. I also heard you loss weight because it is hard to handle fats. Oh well I hope I lose some weight. I have not lost in 4 months or so. I just sit around 154 to 156 lbs. I wanted to get down to 135 that was my goal, but I don't know. I am wearing a size 6 jeans maybe 135 is too low. I hope that I can at least get to 145. I am almost 5' 8" so that might be a better goal. I have not been bad at exercise. I have had so much gallbladder pain I just did not feel like it.
I am have a bladder surgery the day after christmas and then I should be back to the exercise. Then no more surgery for a year or so. Then I will think of PS. I already went for my first consult months back but I made friends with this girl that works for Dr Katzens office and she told me to wait until 2 years or more out because there is so much shifting. She said some do it too soon and then they come back a few years later with more loose skin. I thought I would take her advise since he deals with so many of us.
Oh well I let you know how this journey goes.

Best of luck with your surgery tomorrow Diana! Know you will pull through it just fine. You will feel better afterwards also. I had problems with my gall bladder before I had the Gastric Bypass. My surgeon removed my gall bladder while he was in there. The biopsy on it indicated that I had been having trouble with it for a while -- I didn't even realize it at the time. Just thought it was part of being fat, I guess.
Oh well, good luck!

Hi Diana,
Good luck and I hope everything goes great! I know I'm 5'7" and I'm at 135 and wearing size 4/6. I would think where you're at or 145 should be great and if you've been able to maintain at 155ish for 4 months.. maybe your body likes it there. Again, good luck and here's to a speedy recovery!

Hi Diana- I wish you all the best andf an uneventful surgery
Think how great you will look in your bathing suit in Hawaii!! THAT will get you through
this! I spent 3 weeks in Hawaii and loved it, as I had friends who moved there.
Like I said- my gall bladder was removed w/ WLS and I thought I couldnt live without it either so don't worry - I'm sure you will be fine.
Hugs,
Donna
