Still over 200 lbs!
Hi everyone,
Its been a while since I've posted but I've kept everyone in my thoughts. I'm still not online, so I have to use the library's computer, which is timed. One of these days I'll get my computer fixed!
Lots has been going on in my life. I'm gearing up for more surgery...gallbladder, adhesions and hernia repair. I'm hoping to get the abdominoplasty while I'm under.
My 'issue' is that I am still teetering above 200 lbs. I've gotten down to 203, but now am back up to 207! I realize we all have swings, but I cannot seem to stay under 207. I've gone back to some bad eating habits, but for the most part, I do eat healthy. I dump from everything junkie, so I stay clear of the sweets. I'm still never hungry so I find myself just eating for the sake of getting my nutrition in...and I'm cheating a bit more. So I guess I'm to blame for the wieght loss stall. I have lost between 117 and 123 lbs since surgery, which is great and I'm thankful for that. But I am a bit jealous of y'all who've lost more (I started at 323; highest weight was 386)
Just need some support here...
I unfortunately won't be able to respond for a while (that's why I don't really post anymore).
Thanks to everyone and keep up the incredible work!
Toni
Toni,
You've done wonderful with your weight loss. Sounds like you really do know what you need to improve on. When I find myself at a stall, which comes more often than not lately, I really just try to refocus on the basics. Getting in my protein, liquids & making sure I'm taking my vitamins & calcium.
You may want to try to keep a food journal for a couple of days. You might be surprised of what you see. Could go either way, either you have to improve on some things, or you're doing everything right & your body doesn't want to lose right now. Remember, this is a tool & if we don't use it properly, it won't work properly.
As always, it's great to hear from you.
Keep us posted & good luck on your upcoming surgeries.

Hi, Toni.
I'm right there with you. I have lost down to 205, which is 130 pounds lost. However, since about June, I've fluctuated up and down. Then all of a sudden, I stopped fluctuating and stayed at the higher end of that fluctuation. So, I hover between 210-215. I, like you, NEVER get hungry. I eat because I have to and find that sometimes I eat what "sounds" good because I'm not hungry. I do eat junk, sometimes. I'm human. I don't dump, but I still try to avoid sweets. I don't keep sugar in the house. And if I buy sweets, I buy it in VERY small quantities and share it with my husband...LOL!! I eat mostly protein and fresh beggies. I went through a period where it didn't matter what I ate. I didn't lose or gain. It is VERY frustrating. But I keep plugging along and stick to the program as best as I can. Hopefully, I'll start losing again! EEK!!!! One thing that does hinder my progress is the exercise routine. I get up at 4AM and get home around 5 or 6. So, finding time to exercise or being awake enough to want to is hard. I'm a teacher and have an hour long commute each way. Ugh....maybe someday I'll move...LOL!!
Hang in there! Feel free to email me anytime.
