Bonnie, Good luck with your insurance approval & surgery. I keep tossing the thought of plastics around, but I don't think I'm ready, just yet, for the surgery. What are you planning on having done? I would love to have my arms & boobs, but I know that'll be coming out of my own pocket. Ideally, arms, chest, lower body lift & thigh lift would be great.... Can't see that happening any time soon though. Good luck & keep us posted with your progress. Tammy

Hey Bonnie, Congrats on getting your consult done already! I think you are the first on our board to have a consult done already. I am looking to start my consult process at the 18 month mark. I still have about 40 pounds to loose before seeing a PS. I am a super ssslllooowww looser!!! But that's life. Good luck on your surgery and let us know what you are having done, cost, what your insurance will cover and what is out of pocket. We all want the $$ answers to this thing. I need to save up for my arms at least. I believe my insurance will cover the TT and maybe even part of a lower lift due to back problems and awful rashes I'm haveing at times. I, too, have great insurance, so here's hoping!! Lori 293/194.5/135

lori, i have been a slow loser, too, but i am still at my dr.s goal. i only lost about 75#'s & my body has said ENOUGH! so i guess i am where i am supposed to be! lol! i figure after surgery i will be around 160, i am 5'09, so i can live with that! i won't have any out of pocket expenses, as my hubby is active military & our insurance is 100%. good luck! hope you get approval when you are ready!! bon

I'm going to wait as long as I can stand it. I'm still not at anyone goals, but I've almost lost 100lb. 97lb is close, right. But from doig a lot of reading on the PS Board, I understand there is a lot of settling that goes on. I plan to have my first consult around my birthday in January. Sadly, I think I'm going to need a whole lower body lift. In the last few weeks, the skin started sagging something awful on my thighs and butt. It a shame to have lost all this weight and not like what I see in the mirror. DH says I'm still beautiful. I knew there was a reason I loved him so much. Torrey (184/281/160)

i've had 4 consults but haven't done anything yet. i think i'm only going to do BL/BA after the first of the year. i've lost 85 pounds and while there are probably other things i could do, they're not really that bad. i can live with the extra little bit of skin i do have, but the boobs gotta get fixed! good luck to you! I have had one consult 3 or 4 months ago. The doctor told me I was ready then, I have waited and still want to lose more inches. I have been working out and building muscle and it sure makes a difference. I would like to wait until 18 months post op and really firm up my muscles and then see what needs to be done. Yes I need the boob thing and the tummy. I will probably do the arms too. I am in no hurry because I have noticed so many changes in my body buy working out and I just got started. I still have about 18 lbs to go to be at my personal goal. It has slowed down; however, I have been eating more and building muscle so now I am concentrating on inches rather than weight. I am going to the obesity help convention this next weekend in So. Cal. I will be doing a Juice Plus Booth and will be able to attend Dr. Katzens presentation. Hopefully I will be able to speak to him. I have already lost 110 lbs. my Gastric By-pass doctor said I did not have enough skin to have insurance cover it. Hopefully he is wrong. The first doctor told me he does not put anything through insurance because most wont pay. I think Dr Katzen will do whatever he can to get it covered. I hope.. Diana 263/153/135-140 ish
