Monday & Tuesdays Gym

Good Morning My Fellow August Friends..... I'm reporting today from a very RAINY, 58 degree's Central NY... YUCK............ How's everyone doing? I'm slowly getting back into the work routine after being on vacation for a week. Absolutely loved my time off (so did my hands ) My sister is doing wonderful, she's lost over 16 lbs in 2 weeks..... Remember those days???? She's slowed down over the past couple of days & called me yesterday wondering if she's doing something wrong. I told her to look at my profile, I did the same thing. Lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks, then only 3 lbs over the next 2 weeks. I told her not to worry, her body has to catch up. I have to share with you guys what she said, though, it's hilarious. She said her & her husband were driving to her surgeons for her 2 week appt. yesterday & she was talking to him about how her weight loss has slowed. Now mind you she works for the government so her wheels are always turning. She turns to him & says "It makes me wonder if I'm some part of a Government Conspiracy & they didn't do the bypass at all" "maybe, he just went in & cleared all the adhesions so I'd feel the pain like I had the bypass & I'm part of an experiment to prove that if the mind thinks you had the surgery, you will lose weight"........... We were laughing so hard I told her that I think the "tuna" incident proved that theory wrong, my daughter said, tell her to woof down something & see what happens... hahahahaha... Of course she was joking, but she said, "wow, you get some weird things going through your head after this surgery don't you?" I told, oh yes you do. She'll probably get the funky dreams too. Anyway, I was 183 yesterday UUUUUUUUGGGHHHHH... Haven't weighed yet today. Kinda stuck again anyway so I'm not expecting it to move right now. No exercise yesterday & probably not today with the weather & the fact that I have to bring my daughter to the orthodontist & the 12 hours of overtime is still in place..... Sooooo, I'll be working my butt off once I get home to get my time in. How's everyone else doing? School has started in alot of places around the country. My girls don't go bac****il Sept 7th, so they have a little over a week left. I can't believe all 3 will be in Middle School ............ Have a great day everyone..... Can't believe this month is almost over. ...... Tammy

Hey Tammy - Sorry we didn't get a chance to meet when you were here. My Dad's total knee replacement surgery went well, but I had to have some emergency dental surgery - YIKES! I'm on the road to recovery, though. I'm so glad to hear your sister is doing well and that she still has a sense of humor. I think for the first six weeks or so, I was completely humor-less! Give her my best! School has started here for my niece and nephew, and they're soooo excited! Oh, to be in school again and not have the responsibilities we have now! Although I have to say I don't miss the "weight" remarks - my first memory of kindergarten is sitting at a table with 5 other children and having the "snotty" girl say, "Everybody - let's stare at Teresa because she's so fat!" Amazing that I remember that 35 years later! Not for one second do I miss that part of school! Hope all is well with you, Teresa lap rny 8/2/05 - 370/233/170

Cute story about your sister, Tammy. I work for the government as well. I'm glad she is doing well. The baby and I walked a mile and a half on Monday and Tuesday night. My weight is fluctuating between 166 and 172. UGGGG! I have been this weight for a month. I hate plateaus. It looks like I would be used to them by now. LOL, Sherry
