Question?
Kim -
I started losing my hair at about month 4-5, I guess, and it lasted about 3 months. Even though it was noticeable in my already very thin hair, I was determined not to stress about it, because I feared that would make it worse! I started using Pantene Restoratives Strengthening Spray, and when I was out and so was the store, bought the Pantene Restoratives Strengthening Lotion - I LOVE IT! I can't really say for sure if it helped, but my hair is stronger and has grown back nicely - even my hairdresser commented.
Give it a shot, it's about $4 up here.

Hi Kim,
I started having severe hair loss at about month 3 to 4 and began using biotin which you can get at Walmart. It helps hair, skin and nails. I started with 2 a day for the first month and have been taking 1 a month since then.
It helped with the hair loss and it is a little thicker than it was even before surgery. I have very thin hair to begin with. It also strengthened my nails. They were very weak before surgery too. Now they are hard and beautiful.
They do cause constipation in some people (although, I haven't had any trouble) so be careful if you try it. You can get a bottle for around $2.50 with 240 tablets in it from Walmart or Walgreens.
If you want to know more about Biotin, read up on it on Tooter's website...I think it is bariatricbytes.com
Best of luck,
Lori

Hi Kim,
I lost tons of hair starting in October straight through to April...so it was quite a while. I had to clean the drain in the tub so the water would go down daily after my shower. My hairdresser commented the last time i went in "Yeah, your hair has stopped falling out".... it is starting to come back in. Kind of fly away-ish right now, but i use mouse & anti frizz & it seems to work. I didn't use any kind of special products cuz i figured it was going to run it's course anyway. The good thing is, I didn't go bald... hahahaha.... I use herbal essence hydrating shampoo & conditioner & it looks pretty good..
Hang in there.....it'll come back in.
